Show Ellis Rites fill HE GRADUATED from USUin 1931 and did post graduate gra-duate work at the University of Illinois. He was an active member of the LDS Church having held numerous positions. posi-tions. He was a High Priest in the Val Verda 8th Ward; past president of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Utah Chapter; certified safety professional of the Americas; present professional member Emeritus and received the safety award in 1972; first director of OSHA in Utah. Survivors include his wife, Melburn of Bountiful; son, Martell Thomas Ellis, Jr.; daughters, Ellen Kirkland of West Bountiful, Mrs. John (Jane) Howell, Bountiful; 14 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne A. Ellis, Orem. A daughter, Lois Mariam Ellis, preceded him in death. A FUNERAL was held Oct. 5 at the Val Verda Stake Center. Cen-ter. Interment in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. I MARTELL THOMAS ELLIS Martell Thomas Ellis, age 72, died Sept. 30, 1981 of natural natu-ral causes. He was born Dec. 16, 1908 in Pleasant Grove, Ut. to William Thomas and Anna C. Christiansen Ellis. He married mar-ried Melburn Beckstead Dec. 23, 1931 in the Logan LDS Temple. |
