Show By ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 Some people look at life very pessimistically: the town doesn't look the way they want it to; laws and ordinances are only passed to stand in their way; they are forced to pay taxes all of the time and don't get anything in return; some don't like the landscape of the city, they only see the weeds; they spend available time in sitting and grumbling. Now is the time for all citizens to study the issues and become acquainted with the laws and ordinances in the community. Everyone should vote for a citizen to serve as mayor during the coming four years and for two candidates for city councilman. It may be difficult to make a decision, but it is ths privilege and duty of all citizens over the age of 18 to vote. The primaries will be held Oct. 6 and the final election early in November. Now is the time to drive around the community and see some of the beautiful lots which are in bloom. Some you might enjoy are those of the David McKeans, Frank Richardsons and the Ralph Lees. They represent much hard work and desire to build up the city of West Bountiful. The following missionaries have made decisions which will change their lives; Warren King, son of the Ray Kings, is going to Chile. He will be honored hon-ored at a farewell Oct. 11 . Garv Peterson, son of the John Gary Petersons, is going to Honolulu Honolu-lu and will speak in the Bountiful Bounti-ful 7th Ward on Oct. 11. An open house will be held at the Peterson home from 3-5 p.m. He will also speak in the Second Ward on Oct. 18. The Darrell Moss family is in the process of moving to Centerville. The Gary Petersons had a good time as they worked on their property in Fairview. They were accompanied by . Leslie Beckett. |
