Show Will Observe 85th Anniversary : ( J ) HE WAS active in the Boy Scouts for 17 years, both as a scout and scoutmaster. He lived his entire life in Bountiful with the exception of the six months he and his bride spent in Salt Lake City following follow-ing their marriage. HE WAS a postal carrier in Salt Lake City, then when mail delivery was established in Bountiful, he transferred. He retired in 1961 after 38 years of service. He w as president of the local loc-al Flora Dell flower club, two different times. CARING FOR his yard and garden and raising dahlias and gladiolus were his main interests. in-terests. Now he has found a new interest in writing his history. his-tory. He married Dora Hess of Farmington, in the Salt Lake Temple on April 4, 1923. They had two children, LaMar H. and Maurine B. Stahle, both of Bountiful. She died March 30, 1968. He married Alice Y. Hess April 21. 1970. She died March 8, 1980. HIS CHILDREN and grandchildren grand-children will honor him at a family dinner on Saturday. R. LaMAR BARLOW R. LaMar Barlow will celebrate cele-brate his 85th birthday on Oct. 10. HE WAS born Oct. 10. 18 to Wilford and Laura Ann Jackson Barlow in Bountiful. In 1917 he joined the 145th Field Artillery and six months later was sent to the war zone in France. |
