Show FIRST COURT OF HONOR Farmington and Great Salt Lake Council's Coun-cil's newest troop held its first Court of Honor Sunday night in the 10th Ward chapel. Numerals for Troop 981, whose sponsor is the Farmington 10th Ward, LDS Church, were selected by Bishop Glen Lambson, Scoutmaster of the new troop. Parent troops for this unit were those of the Farmington 6th, 7th, and 8th Wards. Climax of this "first" Court of Honor was the presentation on behalf of the National Council, Boy Scouts of America, of an Eagle Scout award to David Worsley Smith (see separate article). arti-cle). Merit badge awards were made by Scoutmaster Lambson, 1 to r, and McKay Kunz, advancement committeemen, as follows: Cory Leonard (center), chemistry chemis-try merit badge; Danny Heath (right), life saving, weather and chemistry; Christian Hess, archery, small boat sailing, sail-ing, and chemistry; Patrick Callahan, motorboating, water skiing, and citizenship citizen-ship in the world; Craig Hess, life saving, chemistry, and motorboating; and Nathan Farr, chemistry. |
