Show THE SULPHUR WORKS T F Myers of St Louis 1 Visiting Salt Lake T F Myers one of the members of the great S1 Louis drug company of the same name owner of the vast I sulphur deposits at Cove Creek just north of Beaver Is in the city entirely so he assured a Herald reporter yesterday yes-terday for the purpose of recuperating recuperat-ing and taking a much needed rest He was met here however by J I Burfeind superintendent of the sulphur sul-phur works and the two gentlemen gentle-men were In close consultation yesterday When asked whether or not he contemplated a visit to the sulphur beds Mr Myer stated that he did not they are in the very best of i I shape and do not need any inspection Jon i his part Speaking of the deposits Mr Burfeind said tha > they are now in proper shape for tne shipment of fifty cars a day providing the market I could be obtained for the sulphur Lack of railroad transportation is sadly interfering in-terfering with the proper development of the beds and the company Is doing all in its power to induce one or the other of the two railroads to build to them The works are closed down for the winter and will not be opened I again weather until the return of warm |
