Show TRAINSMISSISSIPPI CONGRESS The Immediate Remouetization of Silver Demanded San Francisco Feb HAt the TransMississippi Congress this morn ing the first business was the presentation presen-tation of a number of resolutions which were referred Among the resolutions were eight demanding de-manding the immediate remonetiza tion of silver at 16 to 1 All were received re-ceived with cheers were Several presented antiWilsonbill resolutions The afternoon session was held at Festival Hall on the Midwinter fairgrounds fair-grounds The session was taken up with a free silver speech by A W Thompson a Populist politician of San Francisco and a speech by Alexander Majors an aged pioneer of Colorado Who made an earnest plea for the re monetlzation of silver and free and unlimited un-limited coinage In the evening the delegates were given a dinner in the Vienna grounds Praeter at the exposition |
