at Silver Reef which has been operated for years by Woolley Lund Judd was closed down several days ago the formation for-mation of ice on the tanks preventing the successful operation of the plant The mill has been working upon the ores taken from the various mines at the Reef by chloriders and its recent runs have been very successful During Dur-ing the present week another run will be made i the weather moderates sufficiently suf-ficiently which is more than likely will be the cased case-d t Private advices received yesterday 1 from St George bring the news of a recent rich strike of silver and led ores in one of the workings of the Dixie mine eighteen miles southwest of that city the body of ore seems to be very large and is of the carbonate class carrying over ithirty ounces of silveroThe mine is producing the usual amount of rich copper ore and the smelter at St George will soon be I started up again for a long run The k drifts now being run in the mine are cutting a large
