| Show hOT A1 OPERA HOnSE But the New Building WillCost Nearly as Much BEAMY TBASSFERS YESTERDAY 1 Secretary Gillesples Mail Bac Real Estate Estate Exchange The Wants and Offers of Yesterday The petition recently presented to tho probate court by the executors of the estate es-tate of S S Walker asking permission to build tho Walker opera housebuilding has been granted The facts presented were as follows That on July 31S90 a portion of the said opera house probably was destroyed de-stroyed by file that the insurance on said building amounted to 550000 which has been duly collected by said executors that if said property is left in its present condition condi-tion it would not only be utterly unproductive unpro-ductive of any revenue but an actual expense ex-pense to the estate That prior to said destruction de-struction by fire the said opera house did not pay over 2 per cent gross per annum one th on-e investment therein and that the best revenue derived from it during its existence exist-ence did not exceed 7000 per annum that to repair and rebuild the premises so destroyed de-stroyed according to tho plans and specifications cations presented to the court will involve the outlay of about 40OOO over and above the insurance money aforesaid that by said outlay the property so injured can be rebuilt in such a manner to secure and insure from said property to the estate of more than three times such revenue per year as was formerly obtained from theme sa the-me sufficient in fact to repay the estate es-tate the total cost of the proposed exp ndi tarc inside of four years |
