Park Record is nothing if not metaphorically original In Saturdays Satur-days issue he got after THE HERALD correspondent cor-respondent again and perpetrated the following fol-lowing The cap fits for see how the wounded bird flutters THE HERALD man had a narrow escape when he was made the victim of that horrible expression but he still lives We understand though that tho author of it was compelled shortly after he saw it in print to take the train for Salt Lake for medical treatment He has our best wishes for an early recovery That editor says it would be a waste of words to enumerate how often we furnish THE HERALD with incomplete and unreliable reports of local happenings If it would be a greater waste of words than the above to mention Just one instance we wouldnt ask him to do it but we would like him to be real careful and try He says that with us the errors are the rule and not the exception ex-ception and continues The correspondent correspon-dent dont know what news rustling is oho o-ho would not invariably wait till after the Record appears to make up his letter Ho says we are unreliable and that all our correspondence cor-respondence is copied from his paper We pass For unprecedented asininity and sublime conceit that editor takes tho lead Speaking of pass reminds us that the Record has failed to give tho deceived de-ceived public a chance bit of Utah Central railroad news which was the result of one of its recent roastings of tho road It had a chance to scoop the correspondents but didnt It didnt tell flow the wounded bird fluttered and how closely the cap fitted in that case Tell the discriminating discriminat-ing public nIl about it Alfy deah boy CAS |
