Petition Brussels Jlcdicals BRUSSELS Nov Thojdelegates of the Radical association waited upon the municipal mu-nicipal council today and presented a petition pe-tition in favor of universal suffrage At the same time an immense crowd of work ingmen assembled around the hotel de Vie awaiting the result of the petition The burgomaster promised the delegates a bill should be introduced in the chambers This failed to satisfy the workingmen who received it with threatening demonstrations demonstra-tions The number of people in the crowd is estimated at 10000 The government holds a largo force of troops in readiness for action but though rioting is feared no disorder has yet occurred
