A Lively Day Before Judge Zano The trial of tho case of Hyman Harris vs Richard Chipman in which the plaintiff sued to recover 700 alleged to be due him on a real estate transaction was concluded before Judge Zane in the Third district court yesterday morning and the matter was taken under advisement In the case of 11 H Williams vs Charles Kurburt the hearing on motion for a con tinuance was set for November 15 In the case of Allen G Svkes vs James W Campbell judgment was rendered for the plaintiff as prayed Hueo Sohmer et al vs D A Sykes judgment for plaintiff as prayed Merritt et al vs Howard et al defendant plaint defend-ant allowed until today to file crosscom In the escheat proceedings against the church the defendant was allowed ten days in which to answer The case of Charles Shields et al vs Edward Ed-ward Casady was dismissed for want of prosecution In the case of L G Kent vs Kate Lynch et al an order of publication of summons was made In the matter of the application of Walter Wal-ter a writ of habeas corpus the proceedings were dismissed In the three damage cases of A J Webb George Harrison and Emma C W Wells vs the Rio Grande Western Railway company com-pany in which the plaintiffs all recovered judgments recently the defendant was allowed al-lowed until December 1 to file motion for anew a-new trial The trial of the case of Christian Berger vs Thomas Birch was taken up in the afternoon af-ternoon and a verdict will be rendered today Adjourned until this morning at 10 oclock ocock 1
