Show Poetry Society Names Officers present membership includes poets from Centerville and Farmington, as well as Bountiful. Boun-tiful. Maxine Shreve will serve as president of the Bountiful Chapter of the Utah State Poetry Society, as the organization organi-zation begins its new year. OTHER OFFICERS are Gladys Kennard. presidentelect; president-elect; Helen Noble, secretary-treasurer; secretary-treasurer; Alice Whipple, publicity-poetry column; and Gladys Burnham, historian. The Chapter meets from 1-2:30 1-2:30 on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the South Branch of the Davis County Library in Bountiful. "POETRY, AS well as other arts, requires talent, training, practice, background, devotion devo-tion and continuing involvement," involve-ment," says Mrs. Shreve. "The Bountiful Chapter of the Poetry Society offers the companionship com-panionship of fellow poets through group sharing and encouragement, en-couragement, critique, and learning techniques."
