Men, women and children enjoy the refreshing, refresh-ing, pleasant taste of soft drinks. Recently, the Food and Drug Administration advised pregnant women to avoid caffeine-containing foods, beverages and drugs, or to use them sparingly. This was based on a recent study that found caffeine, when fed to pregnant rats, caused birth defects and delayed skeletal development develop-ment in their offspring. Most soft drinks contain caffeine, but recently one manufacturer introduced a soft drink without caffeine caf-feine or sugar. Called RC 100, the unique new product pro-duct from Royal Crown Cola has the good, clean, refreshing cola taste but is 100 percent caffeine and sugar free. |
