Show Campers Planning Park Work The Rainbow Chasers of the National Campers and Hikers Association, will spend Friday night and Saturday Sa-turday at the Farmington Woodland Park. THEY WILL be working on Saturday, Oct. 9, in the park all day and any local volunteers would be greatly appreciated for there is much to be done. They are planning to set up picnic tables in the park, build fire pits, make paths and other important projects before the cold weather sets in. NORMAN and Nina Canada of Layton are president of the organization, Gene and Mary McGee, vice president and Alan and Bertha McGee, secretary and treasurer. Bernard and Alice Johnson are wagon masters. This fine group of civic minded people has volunteered volun-teered many hours of work in the park for our citizens and are greatly appreciated. THEY HAVE done an excellent ex-cellent job here and had planned a weekend outing to Monte Vista this weekend, but because they decided the park work should be done while the weather was still good, they elected to work in Farmington. The Rainbow Chasers have also made the signs for Woodland Park so these people deserve a tremendous thank you from our citizens. SO IF some of the local people will bring a shovel or other tools to work with, several hours of assistance will be appreciated, kj |
