Mr. and Mrs. Frank French of Twin Falls left yesterday for San Francisco, on their honeymoon. The marriage of Miss Carrie Day Sampson Samp-son and William Wallace Carter took place yesterday afternoon at the parsonage parson-age of Phillips Congregational curch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. A. Simpkin. The attendants were Mrs. Mae Thorn Van Pelt and Victor Day. The engagement of Miss Sampson and Mr. Carter was announced a few weeks ago. Miss Stella Knuppel and Chandler Smith of Preston, Idaho, were married yester-day yester-day morning at 11 o'clock at the parsonage parson-age of Phillips Congregational church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. A. Simpkin. The couple were attended by Mr. and Mra E. M. Evans. The Salt Iake City Federation of Women's clubs held its annual election of officers following a picnic luncheon, at Liberty park yesterday afternoon. The officers are Mrs. W. F. Adams, president; Dr. Alice Houghton, vice president; Mrs. A, H. Parsons, recording secretary; Mrs. W. E. Blodgett, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Gould B. Blakely, treasurer, and Mrs. F. W. Meakin, member of board of directors. Covers were laid for forty at luncheon. The next meeting of the federation will be held the first Monday in September. Miss Edna Dwyer will entertain at luncheon this afternoon at the Dwyer home, 166 North West Temple street.
