Show : m m -O" i To Fence or Not. A letter, of which the following is a copy, has been sent to every pound-keeper pound-keeper in this county by the County Clerk:. "St. George, Utah, Feb. 10, 1890; Dear Sir: At the last session of the County Commissioners, held February 4, 1899. petitions were presented from some of the up-river Precincts, asking the Board to call a special election for the purpose of voting for and against the establishment of a Fence Law in this County. As the calling of said election will entail considerable expense ex-pense Upon the County, it was deemed advisable to lay the matter over until next Session, and ascertain if possible to what extent the means would meet with approval from the residents of the entire County, as it would take amaioi-ity amaioi-ity of all the legal voters to carry the election in favor of fencing: and I was asked to write to you as Pound-keeper and see if you would interest vourself enough to try and find out the sentiment of the majority of the voters in vour precinct, either by calling- a meetin-or Otherwise, as you think bestf, alld report the result to me. By this means it wil g!ve precincts opposed to fence law the opportunity of sending in 'v counter petitions if they desire before the n meeting, which will be the ,irst M ! day in April. 1 .
