Show ENROLLMENT AT WOODWARD SHOWSHASE Registration on Second Day Marks Gain of Seventeen From Monday; Increase of 35 Pupils Over Last Year Enrollment at the Woodward school Wednesday morning had reached 582 students, an increase in-crease of 17 from Monday, and 11 more than were registered at the end of the first four weeks last year. This is a gain of 3 5 over " the number registered regis-tered on the same day last year, and there are still a number of students who have not yet en- The high peak of last winter win-ter was an enrollment of 613 With the increased number on the first day this year, it is expected ex-pected that a new high record will be ' set. The fluctuation is caused largely by families on ranches moving to town for the winter, and transients who spend a few months here during the coldest part of the winter, and who leave before the close of school in the spring. The number of students enrolled enroll-ed in each grade are: First ' Second 74 Third 69 Fourth 76 Fifth 79 Sixth 67 Seventh 73 Eighth 72 5S2 Supervised play activities under un-der the direction of K. M. Cannon Can-non and Miss Emily Harmon are being outlined, and balls and bats have been distributed. Games which will be featured include baseball, football, basketball, bas-ketball, kickball and punch bags, in addition to class activities and directed group games. |
