Show Wedding Reception Held In Seminary for Mr. and Mrs. Talmage Christensen The St. George L. D. S. seminary building offered the setting Friday Fri-day evening, Dec. 27, for the formal wedding reception honoring honor-ing Mr. and Mrs.- Talmage Christensen Christ-ensen who were married at noon in the St. George Temple with Pres. . Harold S. Snow officiating in the presence of immediate relatives rela-tives and friends. For her reception the bride wore her wedding gown of sheer white starched organza, cut on old fashioned lines with skirt inserts in-serts of lace matching the trim on yoke and sleeves and the facing fac-ing of the finger length white silk net veil. Her corsage was of pink rose buds. Miss Enid Webb, sister of the bride, was her only attendant and was gowned in orchid taffeta. Gordon Christensen of Delta, brother of the groom was best man. Also in the receiving line was the bride's mother, Mrs. Annie M. Webb, and the groom's parents, Bishop and Mrs. J. T. Christensen of Delta. The gift room was in charge of the bride's sister, Mrs. Brent Abbott Ab-bott of Reno, assisted by the Misses Mildred and Erma Bentley. Centering the lace covered serving serv-ing table was a large bowl of yellow yel-low roses and orchid chrysanthemums. chrysanthe-mums. Pourers were Miss Rhoda Cannon and Miss Elaine Hafen, with Miss Helen Fawcett serving. Assisting with the music program pro-gram were Mrs. Murray Webb, sister-in-law of the bride, who presided at the piano. Vocal numbers num-bers were presented by Mrs. Roy Whipple, of Las . Vegas and Mrs. William Baker, St. George, sisters sis-ters of the bride, a trio by Mrs. Whipple, Mrs. Webb and Leland Lamoreaux, and pianologue by Mrs. Gilbert Hyatt. The bride and groom, who were popular in vocal department work of the Dixie junior college also responded respond-ed with a request number. Following the reception which lasted from 6 to 9 p. m., the couple left for Reno, for a brief honeymoon before returning to Delta to reside. |
