Show Mr. and Mrs. Gates honored at reception in Roosevelt WHITEROCKS-The Roosevelt West Stake Center was the setting for the wedding reception of Julie Hoopes, daughter of Stan and Mary Lynn Hoopes of Whiterocks, and Ron Gates, son of Jay and Sheryl Gates of Roosevelt. The bride wore a gown of white chantilly lace, trimmed with white ruffles ruf-fles around the train. She wore a matching mat-ching hat. The bride carried a bouquet of blue roses. Acting as matron of honor was Darlene Abegglen. The bridesmaids were Penny Brotherson and Linda McKee. The girls wore light blue dotted dot-ted swiss gowns and carried blue roses on a white lace fan. Mrs. Hoopes wore a navy blue dress and Mrs. Gates' gown was light blue. Ron chose as his attendants John Blake, Ken and Rick Gates. The men, including the fathers of the bride and groom, wore navy tuxedos with a blue carnation at the lapel. The three flower girls were Rulayne Van Tassel, Kelli Weaver and Natalie Monks, and their dresses were blue sheer over nylon. Behind the receiving line was a beige backdrop with windows cut into it through which could be glimpsed three bouqets of blue flowers set on pedestals. The buffet table was graced grac-ed with cups of blue frappe, and a punch fountain in addition to the cakes and mints. A program was presented by family members and following the program was dancing. Darla Pike took care of the guest book. |
