Hamiltons celebrate 25th anniversary with friends Mr. and Mrs. Jim E. Hamilton celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on the weekend at a get together with their friends. Jim married the former Shirley L. Bingham, Sept. 2 1960 in Hughson, Calif. They are the parents of Mrs. James (Terry ) Patrick and Robert Hamilton of Vernal and grandparents to James Patrick Jr. The Hamiltons moved to this area mmmii Chip M. Stone and Michelle Mott Lynette Calder and Michelle Mott to marry Chip M. Stone this fall Mr. and Mrs. Niles Mott of Vernal to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Michelle, to Chip M. Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. William K. Stone of Orem, Utah. are pleased They are planning a fall wedding in the Manti LDS Temple. Chip served an LDS mission to Milwaukee, Wise, after graduating from Uintah High School in 1982. He is presently employed in Orem. Michelle graduated from Uintah School in 1983 and attended beauty school in Orem. She is now a licensed hair dresser in Orem. High The couple will be residing in Orem after their marriage. Hal Soderquist September 14 wedding to unite Vernal couple A September 14 wedding ceremony will unite Lynette Calder and Hal in Soderquist marriage. Announcing the nuptials are the parents of the bride-to-bJoseph and Belva Calder and the grooms parents Dave and Sherrie Soderquist, all of Vemal. The vows will be spoken at the home of the brides parents, 2272 North 3500 West and will be followed Quitters Guild reception in the couples honor. Lynette is a 1981 graduate of Uintah High School and is employed at Uintah Basin District Health Depart- by a ment. Hal is also a 1981 graduate of Uintah High. He is presently employed at Spidle Sales and Service. The couple will continue to reside in Vernal after their marriage. Historical group planning for meets Sept. 12 program The Vernal Quilters Guild will hold it regular meeting Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Molly Jean Fabrics, 2315 E. 500 N. Clifta Johnson will show slides of quilts from the Crossroads Quilt Show which was in Salt Lake City during the West Coast Quilt Conference in July. The purpose of the Guild is to encourage, promote and preserve the art of quilting. All levels of quilters are invited to attend and bring a quilt or project in progress for show and tell. The meetings are held the second Thursday of each month. The society will visit the Bassett Ranch, Saturday, Sept. 21. The buses will leave the Golden Age Center at 8 a.m. All members are invited to take the tour. Everyone is to bring their own lunch. KITCHEN CHINESE FAMILT AMERICAIf Hanna-Tabion- Volunteer Fire Department at their upcoming turkey shoot. According to Verda Nunley, the turkey shoot will be the first of its kind held in the Tabiona area. The shoots are instigated by the Field and Stream Magazine and the National Volunteer Fire Council with the purpose of helping local fire departments raise needed funds. are shoots traditional events where a .'umn or eight to twelve shooters fire at a target with one winning the turkey. In the Tabiona event, one of every ten shooters will take home a bird. The winners of each local event is entered in a sweepstakes funded by Field and Stream which offers a grand prize of a trip for two to British Columbia, Canada and a pop-u- p camp trailer. The volunteer firemen meet twice monthly for business and on going training sessions and also have received professional training.
