Show Dinner Honors Qouple On Wedding Date Mr. and Mrs. Gomer W. Phillips, Phil-lips, well known residents of this city, celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary with a family fam-ily dinner at' their home Sunday evening. In attendance were, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Phillips and Theo Phillips and families of Springville. Two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Lambson of Helper and Mrs. Alta Robertson of Crescent and families, and Tom Phillips with the armed forces on foreign duty, were unable to attend. at-tend. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips have lived in Springville their entire married life. Mr. Phillips was born here and his wife, Maria E. Leah Phillips, Phil-lips, was born in Spanish Fork. Mr. Phillips is believed to be the oldest blacksmith in the vicinity, having followed this occupation since he was thirteen years of age. His shop has gradually developed into a modern garage operated in conjunction with his sons. Both Mr. and Mrs. Phillips have contributed largely to the upbuilding upbuild-ing of industrial enterprises in Springville. |
