Wheeler : - Friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. J. Thomas Wheeler are invited to an open-house reception on Sunday, September 23, from 2:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. on their 50th wedding anniversary. It is to be held at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jim Brailsford, 827 East 2nd North, Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler were married September 25, 1901 in Springville by James E. Hall, and they have made their home here always. Mrs. Wheeler was the former Edith May Hutchinson, daughter of the late Robert and Harriet Elizabeth Hall Hutchinson. She was born May 26, 1881 in Springville. She has been active in the L. D. S. church serving in the Primary and the Relief Society. She is also a member of Camp Koda, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Mr. Wheeler is a son of the late Walter and Ellen Maria Child Wheeler. He was born August 9, 1879 in Springville. He has been active in the Boy Scout organization for many years and also served with the firemen. He is a member of the Hobble Creek Riding Club. They are the parents of one son and four daughters: J. Walter Wheeler, Provo; Mrs. Fred B. Evans (Beatrice), Salt Lake City; Mrs. Mack Crandafl (Madge), Ogden; Mrs. Leonard Zobell (Vera), Springville and Mrs. Jim Brailsford (Shirley), Springville. They also have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren |
