Rife, nee Gloria Gear Newlyweds Plan To Make Home Here After Two-Week's Wedding Trip A large group of friends went to Eureka last Saturday evening to attend the wedding reception for Miss Gloria Gear, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gear of Eureka and Carlos (Rusty) Rife, son of Mrs. Millie Rife of Provo. ; Mr. Rife has teen employed with the Art City Puh- lishing Company in Springville since 1947 and the couple will make their home in Springville following a honeymoon trip to Nevada, the canyons in Southern Utah, to Arizona, Texas and Colorado. Colo-rado. t They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on Friday, May 12. For her wedding, the bride choose a gown of ivory satin, fashioned with a sheer net yoke edged with lace, a fitted bodice, and a flowing skirt en train. Her finger tip veil was edged in lace and fell from a tiara of orange blossoms. Her bridal bouquet was pink rose buds and white carna-' tions. Matron of honor, Mrs. E. M. Birch, sister of the bride, wore a model of blue taffeta. Other attendants, at-tendants, Mrs. H. W. Smith and Miss Helen Rae Birch, wore identical iden-tical gowns of pink taffeta. All three carried bouquets of carnations carna-tions encircling gardenias. Little flower girls, Barbara and Marilyn Birch, nieces of the bride, were adorable in their formals of aqua taffeta and carried miniature nosegays of gardenias and pink carnations. Master Larry Smith, nephew of the bride, acted as ring bearer, wore a blue Eton suit. Standing as best man for Mr. Rife was his brother-in-law, David Bigler, Jr. Ushers were William McDonnell, Emron Birch and William Wil-liam Gear, Jr. Both Mr. and Mrs. Rife have taken active part in L.D.S. church work. She has served as M. I. A. president and drama director in the Eureka ward. For the past few years she has been employed by the Commercial Bank of Utah. They plan to make their home i at Brookside for the present. |
