Show FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR VICTIM OF AUTO ACCIDENT Sheridan Stewart Died Tuesday of Injuries Suffered Monday Evening Funeral services for Sheridan Stewart will be conducted , in the Second ward chapel Friday at: 3 p. m., under direction of Leo Cran-dall, Cran-dall, bishop of the Eighth ward. Friends may call at the A.- Y. Wheeler & Sons mortuary Thursday Thurs-day evening and Friday before the services. Burial will be conducted in the Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Stewart, 67, died Tuesday at a Provo hospital of injuries suffered suf-fered in an automobile accident Monday night. According to officers investigating investigat-ing the mishap, Mr. Stewart was struck by an automobile driven by Eldon Henrichsen, 22, of Provo. Pro-vo. The victim was given treatment treat-ment at fche office of Dr. C. W. Judd and then taken to the Provo hospital. He regained consciousness at the hospital and said that he was in the middle of the street at the time of the accident. Lights of oncoming vehicles had obscured his vision and he stepped into the path of the Henrichfien car, he continued. Investigating officers said skid marks showed that Mr. Henrichsen Henrich-sen applied brakes within 20 feet of the point of impact and stopped nine feet beyond impact point. They estimated that Mr. Henrichsen Henrich-sen was traveling 20 miles, per hour at the time of the accident. Mr. Stewart was born March 8, 1881, in Springville, a son of Tie! and Caroline Mendenhall Stewart. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by a brother, LaVar Stewart, Colorado. |
