Show SERVICES HERE MONDAY FOR WAR II VETERAN Pvt. D. E. Robinson, Native Of Springville, Lost Life In France Funeral services 'for Pvt. Duncan Dun-can E. Robinson, 18, 956 Euclid ave., Salt Lake City, will be conducted con-ducted Monday at l.p. m., at the Claudin funeral home in Springville. Spring-ville. The American Legion, Springville post No, 28 will accord military honors at graveside in the Evergreen cemetery for the infantryman infan-tryman who was killed in action Aug. 7, 1944, at L6rient, France. Tribute to the World War II veteran, Springville business houses will close from 1 p. m. until 3 p. m., Monday, so that all may attend the services. The closing is by proclamation proclama-tion of the mayor as a special tribute to the returned serviceman. service-man. Pvt. Robinson was born in Springville Dec. 16, 1924, a son of Thomas Albert (Bert), and Vanda Duncan Robinson. He lived in Salt Lake City most of his life and was graduated from West high school in 1943. He entered the army Aug. 20, 1943, and went overseas to join the 51st division in June, 1944. He is survived by his parents, Salt Lake City, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Olsen Selring, San Francisco. |
