Show Funeral Services Today, 1 p.m., For Ellen Crandall Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted today at 1 p.m., in the Fifth-Seventh ward chapel for Mrs. Ellen Tame Crandall, 85, who died early Monday morning morn-ing of a cerebral hemorhage at a rest home in Orem. Bishop Leonard James will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the City cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary before the services. She was bom Sept. 29, 1873 in Springville, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann Gregg Tame. She received her education edu-cation in the Schools of Springville, Spring-ville, and as a young woman worked as a cook for the various var-ious railroad construction companies. com-panies. She was married to Wells Crandall on May 7, 1906 in Springville, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Crandall Cran-dall died March 9, 1941. Mrs. Crandall was an active member of the LDS Church, working in the Primary, MIA, Relief Society, Genealogical Society So-ciety and Sunday School. She was a member of Camp Sierra Bonita DUP. Mrs. Crandall had a talent for writing, and had compiled many histories and written poetry. Surviving are a son and daughter, Gregg Crandall of Springville and Mrs. Owen (Blanch) Wright of St. George; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. |
