Show Hobertson-KeiT Nuptials. A very pretty church wedding of the, past week was that of Miss Margaret Rose Robertson and Dr. Archibald A. Kerr. It took place al the First Presbyterian Pres-byterian church on Thursday evening. In the presence of many friends of the bride and groom. Rev. Dr. Paden, pastor pas-tor of the church, performed the ceremony, cere-mony, which was followed by an informal in-formal reception In the parlors of the church. The large platform was converted con-verted Into a garden of green by the us6 of palms, bay trees and India rub- ber plants. Directly in front of the pulpit was a large vase of peonies, streamers of white satin ribbon extending extend-ing from the .-vase to thc railing on (Cither side of the pulpit, ropes of smll-ax smll-ax entwining the railing. A beautiful feature of the wedding was the singing of the entire "Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin Lo-hengrin by Mrs. William A. Wetzel L with organ accompaniment by Arthur Shepherd and a violin obligato by Claude Nettleton. all three musicians being friends of the bride, who is ono of the most accomplished pianists In the city. The order In which the bridal party proceeded to the pulpit was quite out of the ordinary here, and followed the old English custom. First came tho minister, the Rev. Dr. Paden. followed fol-lowed by thc little ring-bearor, A pics Caffey. wearing a dainty gown of ac-cordlon-plalted pinli chiffon. Dr. Harry Davis, the best man, rame next, followed fol-lowed by thc groom. Then came the little Mower girls, Annie Bryant and Wlnnlfrcd Brlce. gowned In pure white and carrying baskets of pink and, white loses. Miss Mary Olive Gray, Ihe maid of honor, followed the Mower girls. Her gown also was of white, elaborately elaborate-ly trimmed with lace In place of 'the usual bouquet. Miss Gray Carried a beautiful fan of white ostrich feathers, the gift of the bride, and wore a large picture hat of white, also IrimuK'd with ostrich feathers. The bride came next, walking alone. Her gown was an exquisite, ex-quisite, one of white crepe de chine, with a yoke and cuffs of Swiss laco, tho bodice elaborately shirred nnd trimmed trim-med with bands of white pnon velvet. The skirt was made en tralne ovor white taffeta. Valenciennes lace in fanciful design forming tho trimming. A long veil of tulle, fastened to the hair with a whlto rosebud, .and a shower show-er bouquet of white roses completed the costume. The ushero were Dr. H. D. Nlles. Dr John F. Crltchlow, Dr. Alfred Al-fred Joe Helton and Charles Van Dyke. Indian blankctn and rugs were thrown all about the large Sunday-school room, where the reception was held. Asparagus Aspara-gus plumosa was festooned from pole to pole, and a bank of palms made a pretty background for the receiving party. The punch and refrefimcnt tablcB were decorated with .pink and white roses, and .were presided over by i Mrs. George T. Brlce, Mrs. B. F. Caf-rey, Caf-rey, Mrs. A. B. Lawrence and Miss Llla Burker. Dr. and Mr. Kerr left on the late train for a three weeks' visit In Chicago, Chi-cago, Milwaukee and St. Louis. They will be at home to their friends at 823 East Second Soulh street after July 15. |
