Eaton of the high school made a stirring little speech In favor of high school education, at a meeting of the Parents' club held at the Lincoln school yesterday afternoon. He made the speech at this time, be said, because he had learned that a large number of pupils who. would receive re-ceive mid-year promotions to the high school did not intend to enter upon the higher work until next fall.
