" " "" ! . i Bert Rhodes, the young man who entered en-tered the Big Boston store by means of an unlocked window on December 30, 1902, and took 25 cents from the till, was arraigned before Judge ' Morse this morning and sentenced to two months In the county jail. District Attorney Elchnor stated that he would change the charge from burglary bur-glary to petit larceny If the defendant would plead guilty. Ashby Snow, who represented the defendant, agreed to this and made a short plea to the court, stating the hard straits In which the young man, had been placed. He Bald he had recently been honorably discharged dis-charged from the army, and he emphasized empha-sized the fact that he took only 25 cents from a drawer containing several dollars, dol-lars, and that he made no attempt to escape when taken Into custody. |
