Salt Lake City, were weekend i visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs. Seth Asay. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O'Neil , from Price, are spending their vacation at the home of Mrs. O' I Neil's parents, Mr. and Mr Ralph McMullin. Mrs. Vada Eaton, from Colorado Colo-rado Springs, Colorado, is vis-1 iting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Angus Anderson. Mr. Johnson, from Arizona, who labored as an L D S missionary, mis-sionary, accompanied by his wife and baby, visited with old friends over the weekend, and attended stake conference on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Jenkins have brought their babv home from Salt Lake City, where they had rushed it for medical attention. Lake City on Thursday, August 21, to take their army medical examinations. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bartlett and Mrs. Owen Bartlett attend ed the wedding dance at Ballard J Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson went to Salt Lake City Friday ' night, where Mr. Johnson attended at-tended the seminary convention j on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allred have returned from Salt Lake City, where Glen had attended a school for high school athletic coaches. Mr. and Mrs. Albin Anderson . pnd family, of Vernal, attended the wedding dance of Mr. and ' Mrs. Clyde Bartlett Wednesday I evening of last week. Mrs. An-1 derson. a sister of Mrs. Ray- mond Eldredge, assisted with the refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Cook and Mark Cook, of Naples, were dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson on ' Sunday, August 17. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook, Mrs. Vida Betts and Mrs. Ellen Bracken were named home missionaries mis-sionaries at stake conference on Sundav. PRIMARY CARNIVAL The Primary held a very successful suc-cessful carnival at the chapel on I August 19. They had a fish pond and sold all articles in it., besides be-sides candy, ice cream, pop corn and many other things. It was a decided success and over $46 was cleared. The Primary officers are Mrs. Norma Johnson, Mrs. Virgie Page, Mrs. Velma Frandsen and Mrs. Ardis Kettle. They and the teachers are to be congratulated. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stanley and family went to Park City recently to visit Mr. Stanley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stanley, who plan to move to California in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Brimhall and baby, who have spent some time at the home of Mrs. Brim-hall's Brim-hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, have returned to their home in Arizona. Mrs. Glen Huber, of Tridell, has been a recent visitor at the home of her sister, Mrs. Vaughn Simper. Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Long, of Bennett, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Palmer, of Roseville, California, Cal-ifornia, were in attendance at the wedding dance Wednesday evening of last week. A group of some 35 boys and girU- who had 100 per cent attendance at-tendance at all meetings of the LDS Church in Ballard, were taken on a trip to Salt Lake City on Wednesday, returning Thursday evening. Bishoo Golden Gol-den Collins, Wendel Johnsor. Earl Winn. Larry Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. David Lundberg accompanied the group. Mrs. Leland Angus attended the seminary convention in Salt Lake City on Saturday. She and Wendel Johnson will be instructors instruc-tors this year at the Union Hign School Seminary. |
