Show SARAH D. RICH YOUNG Funeral services were conducted con-ducted in the Vernal Third ward chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. under the direction of the bishopric for Mrs. Sarah D. Rich Young, 81, who died March 5 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Harmston, Roosevelt. The daughter of Charles C. Rich and Jane Susannah Stock, Mrs Young was born Jan. 24, 1872, at Paris, Iadho. At the age of 12 her parents became pioneers of Vernal. On Feb. 17, 1888 she married Geo. E. Young. About 20 years of their married life was lived in Vernal and then they moved to Gusher, where they lived 30 years. Mr. Young died in 1941 and since that time MrJ, Young has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. L. Cook, at Vernal. At the time of her death she was visiting her daughters in Roosevelt Roose-velt while Mr. and Mrs. Cook were on a vacation trip. Following is the program as it was presented at the funeral: A quartette composed of Alice Woolley, Marguerite Curtis, Geo C. Davis and Golden Bas-tian, Bas-tian, sang "Sweetly and Tenderly;" Tender-ly;" prayer, by Franklin G. Slaugh; solo, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," by Lu-cile Lu-cile Calder. The" first speaker was Harmon S. Sowards. Solo, by George C. Davis, "My God And I." Second speaker, President Presi-dent Jesse A. Haws. Concluding speaker was Martin W. Curtis, of the Third ward bishopric. Benediction, Bishop C. W. Bodily, Bod-ily, of Gusher. Dedication of the grave was by a son, Bishop Harden Har-den D. Young, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction direc-tion of the Olpin Mortuary, of Roosevelt. Before leaving the home of her daughter. Mrs J. V. McLea, prayer was offered by Bishop R. V. Larson. Mrs. Young was the mother of 12 children, nine of whom survive her. They are: Leo D. Young and Joseph W. Young, of Oakland, Calif.; Elva McLea and Viola Harmston, of Roosevelt; Roose-velt; Lawrence H. Young and F. Marcel Young, of Orem: Harden Har-den D. Young, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; Irvin R. Young, Sale. Oregon, and Hattie Cook, of Vernal. Thirty grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two sisters, sis-ters, Libbie Sabey, of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif, and Ada M Johnson, John-son, Santa Monica, Calif . and two brothers, Arthur C.
