Show Graveside services were held August 16 for Kenneth Benson, infant twin son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Benson, with Bishop E J. Nixon of the Roosevelt LDS Second Ward officiating and dedicating the grave. Mrs. Garth Gardner sang a vocal number at the services.. Burial was in the Roosevelt j cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Mortuary. The infant was born July 26, living only a few hours. Cause of death was prematurity. He is survived by his parents and a twin brother, Keith. ; JACOB GOGOSIAN NEOLA Funeral services were conducted Monday at 10 a. m. in the Neola LDS Ward Chapel by Bishop Lazell Henrie for Jacob Gogosian, 85, who died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Royal Horrocks, of causes incident to age. He was born in Armenia, Feb. 28, 1877, a son of Thomas and Marro Sherian Gogosian. He married Arake Setegian in Armenia. Ar-menia. She died 12 years ago.. He later married Maud Younk, who survives. He came to America 40 years ago as a convert to the Church cf Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While in Armenia he als-a converted several other persons to the LDS faith and was instrumental in-strumental in -bringing them to America. For three years after his arrival ar-rival in Salt Lake City, he worked in the LDS Tempi? there, and later returned to Armenia to bring his family to the United States. He translated the Book of Mormon into the Turkish language and also trans Iated several LDS hymns into his native tongue. He lived in Price for 32 years, coming to Neola in November, 1951. Besides his widow, he is survived sur-vived by a son, F. H. Gagosiau snd two daughters, Mrs. Velma Kazarian, Worcester, Mass., and and Mrs. Horrocks, Neola; a brother in New York, 31 grand children and 40 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Price City Cemetery, under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. SALINA MYROE PERANK MYTON Funeral services were conducted Wednesday a; 11 a. m. in the Myton Presbyterian Presby-terian Church by Rev. Wm. G. Trow, pastor of the Roosevelt Baptist Church, for Mrs. Salina My.roe Perank, 27, who died Monday at 4 a. m. in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt LDS Hospital. She was born Feb. 12. 1925. in Ouray, a daughter of John and Abbie Wichiup Myore. She was married to Charlie Perank. March 31, 1948, in Myton. Besides her husband, she i.-i survived by a daughter, Florence Flor-ence Perank, Myton; her par- I ents, Roosevelt; two brothers. ! William and Frank Myo'rc. Randlett; three sister, Mrs. Ros-ella Ros-ella Conetah, Myton; Mrs. Ar- I lene Tabbe and Mrs. Nema San- tio, Ouray. |
