Show Funeral Services Held For Mrs. John H. Davis Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Nicol Adamson Davis, 55, widow of the late John Henry Davis, who died of pneumonia Sunday, February 20, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Overly in Salt Lake City, were held Thursday at 1:30 p. m. in the First ward chapel. The deceased was born October 9, 1832, in American Fork. She was the daughter or the late Andre and Margaret Adamson. Prior to her marriage to John Henry Davis in 1930, she was assistant to the postmaster post-master at North Salt Lake and active ac-tive in the Nineteenth ward of the L. D. S. church. Since the death of her husband in 1934 Mrs. Davis has acted as matron at the American Fork Training School. Surviving are two brothers, Henry Adamson, Piedmont, Wyoming; J. M. Adamson, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Duke, Park City; Mrs. Melvin C. Overly, Salt Lake City, and a half brother, Hyrum Smith Adamson, Salt Lake City. |
