Show Funeral Services Held for Alfred Downs Funeral services were held Friday at 2 o'clock p. m. in the Windsor ward chapel over the remains of Al- . fred Downs, who died Tuesday at a Provo hospital following an opera- . tion for a ruptured appendix. Bishop . Stanley B. Harris was in charge. The choir sang, "Sometime We'll Understand." Prayer was offered by . Stake Counselor Edmund Cragun , followed by a solo, "Lay My Head Beneath the Rose," by Leon Gordon. , The speakers were Elwood Baxter, Elden Swenson, A. H. Lowe and Mr. Tarbones tof Nevada, a recent employer em-ployer of Mr. Downs. Closing remarks re-marks were by Bishop Stanley B. Harris. Other musical numbers . rendered during the service were a solo, "O Grave Where is Thy Victory" Vic-tory" by Ivan Wilberg. A duet by Bessie Lowe and Beth DeCamp, and ' a choir number, "Now He's Gone We'll Not Forget Him." Tire bene- ' diction was pronounced by Bishop " James Ferguson of Edgemont ward. ; Interment was in Pleasant Grove cemetery where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Wilfred Richardson. o |
