Show PI. Grove Junior High begins Drug Free, Red Ribbon Campaign, holds Harvest Festival and Sadie Hawkins The Pleasant Grove Junior High is joining in on the efforts of the National Commission working toward a drug-free America. The National Honorary Chairpeople are President Ronald and Nancy Reagan. This week is National Red Ribbon Rib-bon Week and the theme is, "The Choice For Me, Drug Free." Students Stu-dents at the junior high are signing their names in their homerooms to show their commitment to be drug free. All students will wear red on Wednesday and will receive red ribbons to wear when they give their signature to show their dedication dedi-cation in living up to the promise of living drug free lives. All signatures will be transferred trans-ferred to scrolls that will be sent to Governor Bangertor r.nd Prpident Reagan. Red Ribbon Week is being sponsored in the school by the Junior High, the Junior High staff and the Pleasant Grove Junior High PTA. Also, this week the PTA will be holding their annual fall party for the students. It will be on Friday, Oct. 28. It will be called a Harvest Festival Festi-val and will be centered around a Sadie Hawkins theme. There will be a dance, drinks, candy, Nachos, donuts, raffle for cakes, and a drawing for prizes. It should be a lot of fun for the students. stu-dents. The party will be held from 3 to 4:45 p.m. after school so that those students who wish to go home may do so. |
