Show BAILEY FINDS OUT WHERE STOLEN GOODS carvle FROM it took less than twenty four hours tor the telegrams sent out by sheal bailey concerning the supposed stolen knives and pistol pawned in this city by the two men who were later arrested in evanston to bring forth results yesterday afternoon a reply came from reno that goodlof good the description found upon the men were recently stolen from that place sheriff james iamo down from ev anston yesterday with some of the stuff found upon tho men arrested at evanston and a comparison showed it to be the same that was pawned here and which led up to the locating of the theft the reno authorities were notified noti fled of the tact that the goods answered the description of those stolen there and word is now awaited as to the disposition of the men held at evanston sheriff james states that the men gave the names of J H pook and E J webster and that they had about 75 worth of plunder with them when the arrest was effected webster was formerly employed by the southern pacific at reno as a trucker the men claim that they bought the guns and knives in los angeles which story in the face of the recent details Is not believed |
