Show Parties Honor Three Newly Wedded Couples DRAPER JOHNSON Mrs. Randall Johnson, the former Miss Irene Draper, was honored at a wedding shower in the East Ward chapel last night. Mrs. Ivy Anderson acted as toastmistress. The program presented was as follows: Ladles La-dles trio, Mrs. Leona Irons, Mrs. Mella Morley and Mrs. Hannah Draper; tap dance, Connie Salisbury Sal-isbury and Nedra Anderson; reading, Maxine Draper; ladies vocal group, Mrs. Vawn Guy-man, Guy-man, Mrs. Lois Blackham, Mrs. Ora Morley, Mrs. Dora Arnold-son Arnold-son and Mrs. Mabel Blackham. They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Fayora Draper. A vocal solo by Norma Anderson An-derson and a piano solo by Lu-Dean Lu-Dean Anderson completed the program. Mrs. Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Draper, was J married to Randall Johnson, son of Mrs. Nelda Johnson of Springville, in Salt Lake city on July 2. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson plan lo make their home in Springville. Spring-ville. MNSON - MORLEY A lovely wedding reception was held at the Ft. Green Municipal Mun-icipal Hall Wed. June 22 in honor hon-or of Mr. & Mrs. Clair Morley who were married that day in the Manti Temple by President L. R. Anderson. The bride, the former Miss Marella Hansen, received guests in a lovely gown of white satin and a veil of bride's illusion and lace. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Mrs. Glade Morley of Salt Lake City, was matron of honor. She wore a frock of blue with a corsage cor-sage of Esther reed daisies. Miss Marlene Morley, siser of the groom, and Miss Ilene Mad-sen Mad-sen were bridesmaids. They wore frocks of blue and gold with corsages cor-sages of Esther reed daises. Also resent to receive the I guests, were Mr. & Mrs. R. Earl ; Hansen of Ft. Green, parents of j the bride, and Mr. & Mrs, Urwin J Morley of Moroni, parents of the j groom Best man was Bob Hansen, brother of the bride. Ushers were : Rex Jensen and Glade Morley. Bishop Scott Cook of Ft. Green ward was master of ceremonies at the reception which concluded with dancing. Girl friends of the bride had charge of the gift tables and as-sised as-sised with the serving of the guests. The couple left for a honeymoon honey-moon trip to Yellowstone Park, after which they will make their home in Moroni. I BANKS - Ro"YCE A wedding announcement of interest to Mt. Pleasant people was made this week by Mr. and Mrs. Al. J. Larsen of Portland, iUre., who are visitors at the home of Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Mills. The Larsens were proudly introducing in-troducing their son, Ralph Royce, and their new daughter-in-law, the former Patricia Banks, a daughter of David Banks of Portland, Ore. The Royce's were married at Vancouver, Washington, and were later honored at a reception at the Knob Hill country club a' Portland. During their visit in Mount Pleasant they were guests at a dinner attended by the Larsens, Lar-sens, the Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Christensen and family of Gunnison, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Curtis and family of Moroni, and Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Christensen and Dr. and Mrs. Dail P. Averett of Mt. Pleasant. |
