'Chain, Jr., H was held In the Second ward meeting H house Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Hundreds of friends and relatives H from all over the county weie pie- H sentasamaik of respect, and one of H the largest corteges that ever follow- H ed a corpse to the cemetery followed H John T. 'Chain's remains. Flowcis H were there hi profusion testifying to H the general high icgaid witli Mr. H 'Chain was icgardcd In life. Tim H speakeis on this sad occasion were N. H W Kimball, Pior. Geo. Thomas, A. Chambers, of Sinlthllcld, Hon. Moses H Thatcher, Joseph Knowles, L, S. Car- H don and Bishop Andeisou. H Both Mr. Thomas and Mr Chamb- I ers were missionary companions of Hie H deceased and their testimony In regard H to Ills hlghmindedness while hi Hie H Held of labor was of the highest. I Their contact with him there, where H one may read another's soul, led them H to love him as a brother. H All the speakers had the warmest H praise for the deceased, his private H life having been examplary, his church I life active and of leal service and his H home life Deyoud crlctlsm. H The special music on this occasion H was tendered by Amos Brown and 9 Frank Baiigh and the waul choir. Prayer was ollcred by L. II. Hatch I and Bishop Cardon.
