Show Funeral Services Held Monday For Hurt C. Neptune T ' . Funeral gt vices were newt Monday Mon-day afternoon In too Cedar City L. D. S. First Ward chapel for Burt C. Neptune, 56, who died In Pico, California from cardiac as thma, from which he lud suffered for several years, Speakers at the services Included Dr. R. W. Parnsworth and Bishop H. H. Lunt, with tho following musical mus-ical selections being given: Song, "Behold, Tls Eventide", by a mixed mix-ed quartea cohiposed of Mrs. Keith Macfarlane, Mrs. Belle J. "Webster, Will Macfarlane, and Ray Cosslett; vocal solo, "The Rosary", by Miles Walker; and vocal solo, "I Shall Not Pass Again This Way", by Mrs. Keith Macfarlane. All musical numbers were accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Beth Leigh. Herbert W. Webster offered the owning prayer, und benediction was pronoumvd by William B. Adams. The grave was dedicated by Oscar Unlet. Mr. Neptune was well known in Cedar City, havuig been engaged I in lite painting and pape.hanging trade here for many years. Ho was born In Rlchhill, Missouri, on May 12. 1887, a son of John C. Neptune and Mrs. Sarali Neptune Craig. He first came to Utah In 11)14 when his mother and .stepfather, S. D. Craig, filed on a homestead on tho desert west of Cedar City. He returned to Missouri, and finally moved to Ce dar City to make his home In 192'J, remaining hei-c until last June when he moved to California for his health. He married Pauline Walker of Cedar City on July 13, 1930. Survivors Include his widow, his stepfather, and one son by a former form-er marriage. Ci-alg, who is a mem-ber mem-ber of the Knglneers Corps of the United States Army and who has been stationed at Camp Kllis In Illinois. t |
