MICHAEL HUMPHREYS Cedar City girl exchanged vows with Indian Springs, Nevada man August 22 Miss Sharyn Wood, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Wood, became the bride of Michael Humphreys, August 22. The bridegroom is the son of Major and Mrs. Wallace Humphreys, Indian Springs, Nevada. Following a civil ceremony in the First Ward Church which was officiated at by Bishop Jack Clark, the young newlyweds traveled to the St. George Temple where they were sealed by President Rud-ger Rud-ger Atkin. It was a double-ring double-ring ceremony. Later that evening, they were feted at a reception at the 7th-9th Ward Cultural Hall. The bride wore an empire waist gown of silk organza. The bodice was overlaid with lace, and the sleeves were long and puffed for a truly feminine effect. The dress also featured a stand-up collar col-lar and long train. The elbow-length elbow-length veil was attached to a flower chapeau. . She carried a bouquet of small orchids, stephanotis, and bridal wreath. Mrs. Raymond Orton was matron of honor. Other attendants at-tendants were Mrs. Mike Carter, Car-ter, Mrs. Buddy Zoll, Mrs. Dick Lambeth, and Misses Marilyn and Paula Wood, Junior bridesmaid was Miss Joanne Wood. The attendants wore long pink dresses figured with big velvet embossed flowers and featuring stand-up collars and long, puffed sleeves. Page Wolf was best man while Kelley and Terry Humphreys Hum-phreys and Mike Wood ushered. usher-ed. Mrs. Wood wore a pink dress with a stand up collar, and Mrs. Humphreys wore yellow. yel-low. Out of town guests included the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick F. Ganey, Pompano Beach, Florida, and the bridegroom's grandmother and aunts from Logan. After honeymooning in Grand Canyon, the newlyweds will return to Las Vegas where j he is employed at Kenney's. The bridegroom received his B. S. in Business from USU at Logan. The bride is a graduate of Cedar High School, attended SUSC for two years and received re-ceived her B. S. degree in Elementary Education from USU in June. Pre-nuptial courtesies included in-cluded a personal shower given for the bride by Mrs. Raymond Orton and Mrs. Dick Lambeth. |
