George LDS Temple on July 14, Miss Alison Chamberlain, Parowan became the bride of Ray Kent Ahlstrom of East Ely, Nevada. President Theron Ashcroft, officiated in the double-ring rites Parents of the wedded pair are Mr, and Mrs. K. C. Chamberlain Cham-berlain of Parowan and Mr. and Mrs. John Ahlstrom, of East Ely, Nevada. A reception was held honoring honor-ing the young couple on July 21 in the Parowan High School commons. For the reception, re-ception, the bride wore a dress created by her mother of bridal bri-dal satin, with a lace top and accented by seed pearls. The overskirt was of bridal illusion illu-sion with appliqued satin roses. It featured an empire waist, bishop's sleeves and fol-. fol-. lowed princess lines. Her veil of nylon net fell in two tiers to a full floor-length from a crown of seed pearls on satin. sa-tin. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink miniature roses, carnations and baby breath. The attendants were: maid of honor, Miss Leslie Decker, the bride's three sisters, Mrs. Gordon Adams, (Brenda), Mrs. Rick Williamson (Carol), and Miss Vickie Chamberlain, and the bridegroom's three sisters, Mrs. Marvin Smith (Marlene) the Misses Dorothy and Jody Ahlstrom. Miss Krista Williamson, Wil-liamson, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The attendants wore floor-length floor-length dresses, made of twinkle twin-kle satin of uink and lavender. laven-der. They had empire waists, scalloped neckline and princess prin-cess lines. Each wore a necklace of pearls, made by the bride as gifts to her attendants. at-tendants. Each carried a white basket filled with lavendar and pink baby mums. Mother of the bride wore a floor-length dress of lavender polyester crepe with lace sleeves. Mother of the bridegroom bride-groom wore a full-length dress of pink crepe and both of them had corsages of pink miniature minia-ture roses and carnations. The reception followed a la-, la-, vender and pink color scheme carried out in floral decorations, decora-tions, a backdrop of satin, smocked with 1400 seed pearls and lavender table cloths with baskets of flowers to match the attendants' Standing as best man for the bridegroom was Rex Hen-drix. Background music was furnished fur-nished by Mrs. ltha Morten-sen,, Morten-sen,, Mrs, Claudia Ward and Mrs. Jackie Robinson at the organ. Vocal numbers were sung intermittently by Verl Taylor, Brenda Adams and a ladies quartet, consisting of Jackie Robinson, Janet Jones, Morna Mitchell and Katrine Johnson. Mrs. Paul Chamberlain was at the guest register. Presiding Presid-ing at the serving table were Mrs. Wilford Day, and Mrs. William Isom where the wed-ing wed-ing cake was cut and served ta the guests. Serving were the Misses Tena Isom, Kathy Day, Sheila Evans, Suzanne Warren War-ren and Betty Sue Whitney. Assisting with the gifts were were Mrs. Ralph Orton, Mrs. Jay Benson, and the Misses Mis-ses Debbie Isom, Carolyn Watson Wat-son and Jeanne Orton. I |
