ADAMS CEDAR CITY SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Virginia Webster Mr. end Mrs. Mark R. Howcraft and daughter, Nancy, from Salt Lake City spent this week end here with Mr. and Mrs. Foyer Ol-sen. Ol-sen. Wednesday night pinochle club members spent the evening at the home of hostess Marilyn Nelson. Joining with regular card players for the event was Robyn Bancroft and winning prizes were Belva Heyborne, Christine Wlnterrose and Jo Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Matheson traveled by train to Detroit, Michigan Mi-chigan where they stopped to sigut see and pick up a new car wnich they drove to the Worlds Fair and Niagara Kails. The Cedar Ce-dar City couple also included stops at the Hill Cumorah Pageant, Pa-geant, Washington, D. C. and LDS church historical sites on their vacation itinerary. Part of their two week vacation included visiting In Indiana with Uncles and Aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brock and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parker. Prior to her wedding on July 31, Miss Sharon Woolsey was honored at a shower given by Vivian Vi-vian Nelson, Mrs. Garth Nelson and Diane Dobson and Mrs. Evan Ev-an Dobson. The event was held at the Dobson residence on the patio with Steve Nelson, Sharon Overson, Colleen Fife, Melinda Morris, Linda Whtten, Kathy An-drews, An-drews, Kris Mullett and Janice Robb in attendance. CAZANIA CLUB Members of the Cazania Club and their families were together at the College Ranch for a summer sum-mer party Friday night. Chicken dinner whs served 60 people and visiting was enjoyed after the repast. Committee for the party were Myrtle Bauer, Janet Leek, Velma Leany, Pauline Cox and June Thorley. Mr. and Mrs. Lymai; Dodge and family spent eight days vacationing va-cationing in the Northwest. They left Cedar City July 31 and enjoyed en-joyed sightseeing enroute to Portland, Oregon where they were house guests of Mrs. Iola Scoville. The Cedar City family returned home Sunday. Guests of Mrs. Mae Leigh have joen nor daughters Mrs. Billle Esplin, Mrs. Colleen Cook and their .ar.iil.es of Salt Lake City and her son Allen who was en-route en-route to Phoenix, Arizona, where he will be Joined later by his wife. The Allen Leighs have made their home In Salt Lake ! Ci.y this summer. Stopping in Cedar City to visit ; with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Clark were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Kesel ; of Pamona, California. The Ke-! Ke-! sels were on their way to Yellow-; Yellow-; tone National Park where they ', vacationed for ten days. On their ; return trip to California, they again stopped here to visit brief-; brief-; ly before Mrs. Douglas Clark and three daughters followed ; them by car to Pamona. The ! Clarks are now guests of Mrs. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. ' William Cornu in California. SThey plan to stay two weeks be- I fore returning to Cedar City. l' Mr. and Mrs. Keith Averett have enjoyed having Mrs. Aver- en s father, Mr. Kenneth Hirschi, I i hero with them froin Salt Lake ;'ny. ,i Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanen ! of Colorado and the Ilanzen chil-k chil-k dron, have been in southern I'tah k for several days visiting with Kenneth's parents. Mr. and Mrs. k Ralph llanon and with Parry Maekelprang and family. |
