Show The proclamation opening the former Uintah Indian reservation to entry provided that the Indian grazing graz-ing lands selected by the allotting committee should be non-irrigable and non-cultivatable. Yet, this committee com-mittee paid little or no. heed to this provision, but on the other hand placed in the Indian grazing land area some of the basin's best culti-vatable culti-vatable and irrigable territory. It is to be hoped that the Utah delegation delega-tion will have success in getting much of this land restored to the public domain and in such manner that it can be brought under patent, improved improv-ed and taxed. r |
