Show Othello features Davis artists Office, Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 S. between 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Season tickets are on sale for the 1990-91 season and range in price from $25 to $90. Auditions are going to be held for the role of the boy Amahl in the production of ' ' Amahl and the Night Visitors" and for the children's chorus in "Hansel and Gretel" to be performed Dec. 7-9. The auditions will be held on Wed. and Thurs., Sept 19 and 20 in the Capitol Theatre from 3 until 6 p.m. Auditioners should be between 9 and 13 years old and should prepare to sing a song of their choice. An accompanist will be provided. Call the Utah Opera at 534-0842 to arrange ar-range for an audition. Two Davis County residents will be participating in the Utah Opera Company 's production of the musical drama 'Otello." Perfor-v Perfor-v mance dates are set for Oct. 13, 15, 1 17 and 19 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. The production will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. Andrea Evans, a mezzo-soprano from Centerville, returns to the Capitol Theatre to play the role of Emilia, the only woman's supporting suppor-ting role. Her previous roles include Alisa in 'Lucia Di Lammermoor," the mother in 'Hansel and Gretel and Giovannain 'Rigoletto." Dave Arnold, a tenor from West Point, has appeared in over 40 pro- I duionsirvce tatganwith The Ui Opera Company in 1979. He will sing the role of Roderigo in this production. He appears regularly as a soloist in the Nevada Opera , Theater and is a member of the Opera-in-the-SchooIs ensemble.
