Show Efforts save creek water The Centerville Deuel Creek Irrigation Ir-rigation Company has saved literally lit-erally millions of gallons of irrigation irriga-tion watr thanks to the conservation conserva-tion efforts of stockholders this season. Deuel Creek serves the south portion of Centerville and along with other Weber Water District users was put on restricted deliver this season. Water users were asked to refrain from irrigation irriga-tion watering on Wednesdays. The resulting conservation efforts by Deuel Creek users have resulted in reductions in demand that assure adequate supply through the remainder of the season. Users are urged to continue to comply with the Wednesday watering restriction re-striction and to conserve water wherever possible. The watersheds supplying Deuel Creek in Centerville and the Weber River have received precipitation which is well below normal levels over the past several years. If the dry weather trend continues, more extensive restrictions may be necessary next season. |
