Show Fuller, Cox gain honors Woods Cross quarterback Todd Fuller and Viewmont cross country runner Debbie Cox are this week's Davis County Clip-per-Little Caesar's Pizza Athletes of the WeeK. Fuller was outstanding in pacing the Wildcats to a 28-7 first round victory over Cottonwood in the state 4-A football p ayoffs ay-offs Friday . Since taking the reigns as starting QB for the Wildcats, Wild-cats, Fuller has helped instill a vibrant offense to go with the Woods Cross defense. , , , Others who had outstanding weeks included previous winner Mark Johansen of Viewmont, who set a state record in winning the 4-A boys' cross country title; Woods Cross footballers Chadd Watson, Kitt Rawlings and Chad Rawl.ngs; Davis runner Clark. Maxwell, Viewmont runner Ryan Anderson and Davis quarterback Jake Davis. . , Cox was the top local finisher in the girls 4-A state cross country race Wednesday, placing 15th. Her consistent performances perform-ances all year culminated with great finishes the past two weeks. Others having great weeks included fellow runners Cami Anderson of Davis (previous winner) and Sarah Butler of Davis, both of whom had good performances. All weekly winners receive certificates from the Clipper, plus pizzas from Little Caesar's Pizza in Bountiful. |
