Show Local Couples Wed In Calif., Nev. And S. L. Betty Stansfield Becomes Mrs. Vaughn V. Barney Marriage of their daughter, Betty to Vaughn W. Barney in Salt Lake city was announced this week by Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stansfield of Mt. Pleasant. The wedding took place November No-vember 6 in the Capitol city. The bridegroom is a resident of Spring City. Following their honeymoon, the newlyweds will make their home in Spring City. Local Young People Wed In Elko. Nev.. Ceremony Announcement has been made of the recent marriage of Miss Kathleen Frandsen, daughter ol Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Frandsen, and Bert Hafen, son of Mrs Carrie Hafen. The couple was married Sun day, November 16 .in Elko, Nevada. Ne-vada. Mrs. Hafen is presently employed em-ployed at Paul and Vern's Cafe. Mr. Hafen is a veteran of World War II, having served two and one-half years in the European theatre, and is presently employed em-ployed at the Conoco service station. Both are graduates of North Sanpete high school. The couple will make their home in Mt Pleasant. Fairvieiv Kan Brings Calif. Bride Eome For Visit Leo Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Stewart of Fairview, i. expected to arrive from California Cali-fornia this weekend with his bride of a week. The new Mrs. Stewart is formerly for-merly Miss Chloe Hopkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hopkins of Richmond, Calif. The couple were married ir, Oakland, California, Novembet 15 and a reception followed a; the home of the bride's parent; in Richmond. Since his discharge from the armed forces last year, Mr Stewart has been employed at the Ford Motor Co. in Richmond His bride, until her marriage was an employee of the Tide vater Oil Co. in San Francisco. After a short visit in Fairview the couple plan to make thei; home in Richmond. |
