WA lilt, . w S3, WWW If'. v., i- t f IJ I'. - W ' fe'-:v V'll A PRETTY wedding was solemnized in the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption As-sumption at Park City Tuesday morning, when Miss Mayme McSorley and Mr. M. J. McGill were married. The bride is the daughter of John Mcssoriey, foreman of the Daly-West, and was educated at tne ?acrea nfin academy, Oakland. Cal. She was handsomely gowned in light crearn brocaded silk, trimmed with orange blossoms, which had been worn by her mother at her marriage. Her veil was fastened with a diamond sunburst, the wedding present of the groom. Mr. McGill is master mechanic of the Anchor and Quincy mines. Both Mr. and Mrs. McGill are popular and highly respected. In the church an appropriate sermon was preached by the Rev. Father Galligan, and there was singing also by the choir and special music by Miss Malone. Between forty and fifty guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. McGill have left for a tour of the east, after which they will make their home in the Park. - ? Miss Maggie Canty and Henry Carey were married Wednesday afternoon of last week at the Catholic church by Rev. Father Galligan. Miss Cora Crossian was bridesmaid and T. F. Connor groomsman. It was a pretty wedding wed-ding and the ceremony was witnessed by a large number of friends, as the contracting con-tracting parties are well known and very popular. They departed on the afternoon af-ternoon train for Salt Lake to spend their honeymoon and the well wishes for a long, happy and prosperous life followed them. On their return they will go at once to housekeeping. A very pretty wedding occurred at the Catholic church Tuesday of last week when Miss Maggie Leahy and John McGivern were made man and wife, the Rev. Father Galligan officiating. A sister of the bride. Miss Mary Leahy was bridesmaid and Mr. Barney Livey acted as best man. A reception was held at the residence of the parents of the bride after the ceremony and the happy couple departed for Salt Lake on the afternoon train, where the honeymoon honey-moon was spent. Mr. and Mrs. McGivern are both well known young people of the Park and they have the well wishes of hosts of friends for a happy matrimonial career. ' |
