Show NO CAUSE FOR UNEASINESS. Reports from the west and the middle west now seem to indicate indi-cate that tho probabilities of a heavy drain on the eastern banks to pay for the crop movement are reasonably remote. From the viewpoint view-point of the treasury conditions that have arisen since the possibilities possibili-ties of a stringency were recognized early in the year have contributed to the present situation. The liquidation in the stock market, checking of farm loans by the banks of the middle west and a general clearing of the financial atmosphere have been largely responsible. Some time ago it was predicted that tho western banks because of heavy loans, would have to draw more heavily than usual on the eastern connections. Fears were expressed that because of the large amounts given to development projects and to investments in unimproved lands in the west the movement of money from the east to weBt would be greater than usual. Those who have been watching the situation closely, however, now think the crop movement situation is entirely normal. |
