Chairman Bezzant, of the Streets committee, reported that a road grader grad-er had been purchased for use on city streets. Mr. Bezzant recommended that a circular letter be gotten out and mailed to property owners, reminding them of their duty and obligation, in cleaning up weeds, and trimming trees which are over-hanging the sidewalks; also repairing culverts across the sidewalks. Mr. Bezzant was instructed to work with M'r. 'ofed A petition signed by a number of lit ft citizens for the removal of the cement of i monument located at the head of the state highway, and suitable buttons installed to replace same, was granted grant-ed by a motion made by Councilman Moore. In the matter of the petition of our local coal dealers, a motion was made by Councilman Moore which carried, that the matter be referred to the License committee to investigate, and report back at our next regular meeting, meet-ing, some definite recommendation relative to same. The petition signed by a number of residents of State street, for the installation in-stallation of three additional street lights, was left with the Street committee com-mittee with power to act. The City Property committee was ordered, by motion of the council, to investigate the reason for delay by Alpine City, in making settlement of account rendered sometime ago for service rendered by our Fire Department Depart-ment in fighting fire in their city. Mr. Armour, of the Yellowstone Confectionery Co. met with the council, coun-cil, making application for a license to place mint vender machines in a number of business houses in the i city. After Mr. Armour had explain-! ed in detail the operation of the ; machines the matter was left with Chairman Linebaugh of the License committee for further investigation. Relative to the laying of replacement replace-ment pipe a motion was made by Councilman Dickerson, that arrangements arrange-ments for this work be left with the j Waterworks committee. j By motion made by Councilman M'oore, the bid submitted by Claud Newman for the trenching and back filling Districts No. 1 at $1.70 per rod, and District No. 2 by Harry Nielson at $1.70 per rod was accepted. Arrangements Ar-rangements for the trenching and back filling of Districts No. 5, 6, and 7 was ordered left with the Waterworks Water-works committee. Chairman Dickerson of the Irrigation Irriga-tion committee reported $397.62 had boon turned over to the Incorporation, Incorpora-tion, by the recorder, from the irrigation irriga-tion fund. Chairman Linebaugh of the License and Finance committee reported that notices to parties delinquent in their paving accounts, had not yet been mailed out but the matter would be taken care of at once.
